there are references to John FERGUSON.fireman aboard the steamer "Wellington" fell of the ONCHUNGA Wharf and drowned...[1871]

W.H.PAY, a passenger from Dunedin to Melbourne per "Claude Hamilton" jumped overboard and drowned..left a wife and five children.. the eldest only 7..

Dr CARR was fined 5 pounds for breaking a drapers nose for selling an illfitting pair of gloves...
