This bookmark is made with tatting thread using both diamond-mesh and oval netting. The center is formed first using diamond-mesh netting. The rest of the bookmark is formed by netting around the rectangular center.

I learned to net from my grandmother over 50 years ago. She learned from her mother who was born in Sweden. I designed them to use as quick netting projects to help students retain the skills they were learning.
