This was one of my first bobbin lace projects ever and a great chance to practice with the bobbins I bought at the Kantcentrum in Bruges last summer.   The pattern is the Torchon Bookmark with Spiders from Beginner's Guide to Bobbin Lace by Gillian Dye and Adrienne Thunder which is a very well illustrated guide for those of us just starting out
